Trimble RTS773RTS773

The RTS773 includes Trimble VISION, an integrated camera in the robotic total station that provides a “through the telescope view” remotely via the Trimble Tablet and Trimble Field Link. This is a great feature for photo documentation of as-built locations and reporting field issues. This robotic total station is designed for general and specialty contractors that require quality, 3″ angle accuracy and optimum field performance. Trimble VISION replaces the tracklight on the RTS unit with an integrated digital camera that can be operated remotely via the Trimble Field Link Software. Through the tablet interface, users have the ability to view and document the actual jobsite condition from the perspective of the total station when performing layout, collecting data or generating field reports.

What Is a Robotic Total Station?

As an electronic theodolite, this tool uses electronic distance measurement (EDM) technology to measure angles and distance from the instrument to another point on a worksite. Contractors commonly use robotic total stations for construction layout work.

Providing a steady stream of real-time data, robotic total stations continuously track angle and distance on their data logger and report it to the surveyor’s device. They provide detailed data with high accuracy and can make fast measurements without the amount of manual operation that traditional total stations need.

How Do Robotic Total Stations Work?

With innovative technology, robotic total stations make measuring and analyzing jobsite layouts easier. One valuable feature they use is auto-pointing capabilities to find a prism automatically. They also have auto-tracking capabilities, which enables them to track a moving prism without any manual adjustments.

With their broad capabilities for gathering accurate measurements remotely, robotic total stations are valuable tools for a variety of construction layout tasks, including:

  • Simple topographical measurements
  • Concrete forms and anchor layouts
  • Concrete control joint measurements
  • Underground pipe, hanger and sleeve layouts
  • Reflectorless, long-distance measurements for inaccessible locations

Trimble Robotic Stations Are Here to Help You

Designed specifically for general construction, concrete and MEP contractors, Trimble robotic stations offer advantages that encompass efficiency, data quality and team collaboration. This tool can streamline and boost your project process with diverse benefits like:

  • Faster and more accurate data
  • Decreased labor costs
  • Strengthened collaboration with instant access to real-time data
  • Improved accuracy with as-built checks and error identification
  • Better productivity with one-person operations instead of two
  • Higher value from a durable design that can withstand the elements and last longer

With the innovative capabilities of a Trimble robotic station, you can revolutionize your business processes and ensure success for your construction layout projects.

Trimble Field Link-Compatible Software Makes Your Job Easier

If you’re ready to find a robotic total station for sale and make the investment for your project, keep in mind the importance of getting compatible software for your instrument. Trimble Field Link offers one interface that can engage with multiple Trimble instruments at once to streamline your process.

Giving field engineers the ability to share current data with managers at another location instantly, Trimble Field Link ensures that everyone involved stays up-to-date on what’s happening onsite. With its live video feed, it allows for easy analysis of onsite measurements from another location. In addition, its user-friendly interface offers diverse capabilities, including a view of 3D design models in the field.

Testimonials

Trimble RPT600

Bang Concrete Logo"I can lay out a job by myself with the Trimble RPT600 total station. On more complicated jobs, it saves a lot of time. Before, I didn’t even want to take on some complicated jobs, but the total station makes it easy. We are building our new shop and serving as the GC. The total station has given us lots of time savings on the shop. I’m laying out the foundation and flatwork quickly and showing the other contractors exactly where they need be. I don’t have a 250 foot tape measure, but with the total station, I don’t need one.

Customer service from BuildingPoint Central has been outstanding. It’s nice to work with someone who is just as eager to call you after you bought it as he was before you bought it. The total station definitely does what I need. I’m very happy with that. It meets exactly what I wanted in a layout tool."

Trimble RTS573

"The Trimble RTS573 robotic total station allows our company to grow faster as the construction industry moves toward technology solutions for traditional routines. As we start to rely on technology, we are realizing greater efficiency. We are laying out in half the time it used to take. We don’t have to go back and double check points or do so much math in the field. We are often laying out jobs with just one man instead of having to use the whole crew.

We bought Trimble’s total station from BuildingPoint Central because we knew we would get excellent customer service. We are 100% satisfied."
